LORRY PLUNGES OVER BANK SOMERSAULTS IN 40-FOOT DROP * Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright TAURANGA, February 12. About 10.30 last night a large lorry being driven from Tauranga to Rotorua by a man named Morrison plunged over a 40ft bank at a bridge about four miles from Tauranga. _ The lorry smashed through the bridge railings and turned over several times. A Mr and Mrs Brennon, of Rotorua, were passengers. Mrs Brennan had a leg broken and also sustained a chest injury, Morrison had his right thumb broken, and Brennon’s back was bruised. The lorry plunged down through high gorso and fern. An ambulance was sent from here, but great difficulty was experienced in getting Mrs Brennon up. The lorry, which was not loaded, was badly damaged.
