SETTLEMENT ANNOUNCED
AMERICAN MOTOR STRIKE PLANTS TO BE EVACUATED Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright DETROIT, February 11. Governor Murphy announced that an agreement had been reached ending the motor strike, which has crippled production by General Motors since late in December. The announcement followed an all-night conference between representatives of the union and the General Motors Corporation. Under the terms of the settlement the strikers will evacuate the plants at Flint , and the corporation will drop the injunction for their eviction. Governor Murphy said the agreement was formally signed at noon when the specific details aud terms were announced. , Governor Murphy telephoned to the commander of the troops in Flint and ordered him to prepare to demobilise. He said he was particularly pleased that one of the greatest industrial disputes in American history had been attended by not a single fatality.
