THREE MEN INJURED

MOTOR SMASH HEAR MILTON CAR RUNS INTO STATIONARY LORRY Three men, one of whom is seriously injured, are in the Milton Hospital ns a result of a crash by a motor car into a stationary lorry at the Candletown corner, a mile north of Milton, on Thursday night. The motor car was driven by Barnard Walter Tremaine, cartage contractor, of Owaka, who received facial injuries and concussion. David Pullar, farmer, Owaka, owner of the car, was sitting next to the driver, and was the most seriously injured, with facial injuries, a broken collarbone, and slight concussion. The passenger in the rear seat was Alfred Beck, of Auckland, who was spending a holiday at Owaka, and who received facial injuries The three men were returning to Owaka after attending the Porbury Park Trots, and crashed into the rear of a motor lorry owned by James Sheehy, contractor, of Dunedin. Sheeby had stopped his lorry on its correct side of the road, and was lighting a cigarette when the impact occurred. . The motor car was extensively damaged as a result of the impact.
