DRUIDISM

Arch Druid Bro. Harbour presided over the meeting of Otago Lodge last Monday, and there was a good attendance of members present. Prior to commencing business the Arch Druid referred to the passing of Past Grand President Bro. E. J. Bryant, and the lodge went into mourning for one month out of respect to the memory of the deceased. Bro. Bryant joined the order in 1880, and during his long term of membership had always been one of the foremost workers connected with the friendly society movement. Several members made feeling reference to their long association with Bro. Bryant. Correspondence included acknowledgments of sick pay from members outside of the city and invitations for fraternal visits. One proposition for joining was received. P.A. Bro. Kilgour wrote of his intended transfer to Australia,' and received the thanks of the lodge for past services. Arrangements were made for the presentation of the efficiency shield at a later meeting*
