INTOXICATED MOTORIST
THREE WEEKS' IMPRISONMENT , » [Pee Unitei Press Association.] DANNEVIEKE, January 30. Timothy Augustus Teahan, a farmer of Tiratu, was sentenced to three weeks’ imprisonment for being drunk while in charge of a car, his license was cancelled and he was prohibited from driving for two years. When attempting to leave a parking stand near the Masonic Hotel his car mounted a footpath, swung off on to another, and crashed into the island window of the D.S.C. building, wrecking it. It then proceeded along the path until it collided with a telegrgaph pole. Nobody was hurt, but one or two had a narrow escape.
