(Received January 30, at 9 a.m.l Admiral Forster leaves Bremen tomorrow to visit former German colonies in Africa to obtain information as to the position and prospects of Germans residing there. [A message received on December 31 stated: According to the French newspaper 1 L’lnformation,’ ViceAdmiral Forster, Commander-in-Chief of the Gorman Navy, resigned a week ago because “ lie could not : allow German warships .to be exposed to grave risks along the Spanish coast.” Recently it was reported that Vice-admiral Forster was retiring at the end of the year, and that Rear-admiral Carls will temporarily succeed him.]
