DISSASISFIED WITH ALEXANDRETTA SETTLEMENT MR EDEN ACCUSED OF BUYING TURKISH FRIENDSHIP if Press Association —By Telegraph’ —Copyright DAMASCUS, January 28/ All classes of the Syrian population participated in a demonstration against the Alexandretta settlement. Processions passed the Government offices all day, shouting Nationalist slogans. Ata Bey Khoury, president of the Chamber of Deputies, who was interviewed, said he considered that Mr Eden had surrendered a vital part of the country in order to buy Turkish friendship.
