QUEENSLAND BOWLERS

NARROWLY DEFEATED By the narrow margin of 99 points to 93, the visiting Queensland bowlers were defeated in their final match here when they met a Dunedin team on the St. Kilda green yesterday afternoon. As in the first match, five rinks of the Queensland _ representatives met five composite rinks of tho Dunedin Centre, but the games were more closely contested than on the previous day, and although the green was playing perfectly, it was noticeable that _ tho Queenslanders, after their experience of their game on the Caledonian green, were judging its strength much more accurately than on Wednesday. < Three of the visiting rinks, those skippered by C. Campbell, H. A. Manahan, and H. Crouch, were victorious. After the conclusion of play ; Mr Campbell, on behalf, of the visitors, expressed appreciation of the hospitality extended to them during their stay in Dunedin, and of the two delightful games they had had. On behalf of the Dunedin Centre, Mr J. Hinton (president) expressed thanks to the St. Kilda and Caledonian Clubs for the use of their greens. The results of yesterday’s game
