I WELLINGTON V. NELSON [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 8. Wellington’s first innings against Nelson was resumed to-day in fine weather. Donnelly and Crawford,, the notout batsmen at “ stumps ” yesterday, when four wickets were down for 148, * increased the score to 187 during the first half-hour to-day—Donnelly 26, Crawford 19. / A brilliant century by Donnelly was the outstanding feature of Wellington’s batting. Donnelly completely mastered the bowling, making 141, including 19 fours and one six, before being the fifth Wellington batsman to go Ibw. At his dismissal the luncheon adjournment was taken, Wellington’s total being 362 for seven widkcts. The innings was then declared closed.
