CORONATION MUSIC

FOUR CHORISTERS FROM DOMINION INVITATION TO JOIN EMPIRE CHOIR [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 18. A proposal that four choristers from New Zealand should take part iu an Empire choir which will! sing the Coronation music at Westminster Abbey on May 12 is contained in a letter received by Mr W. E. Cnklow, secretary of the Associated Choral Societies of New Zealand, from the Under-Secretary of the Internal Affairs Department (Mr J. W. Heenan), following a cable received from the High Commissioner; — “ A bass, tenor, contralto, and soprano from the Dominion are invited to join the choir for the Coronation service. They must have the recommendation of the musical authorities and have had choral experience. Please advise of any who will be here for practice a month before the Coronation.” Mr Heenan said that it would appear that there is no question of the expenses being paid, but he would be pleased to hear from any members of choral societies who would be in England during the Coronation and who were desirous of accepting the invitation.
