FORGED RECEIPT
CHARGE AGAINST MERCHANT [Per United Press Association.] GISBORNE, December 18. Appearing before Mr Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon, William M'Kiunon, a merchant, was charged with causing Francis Carroll to act upon a forged receipt for £230. Applying for a remand, tho police stated that other charges were.pending, and asked for substantial bail. A remand was made to January 18. Bail was fixed at £3OO, and the accused was ordered to report to the police three times a week.
