YOUNG WOMAN HANGS HERSELF Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, December 15. A message from Lansing states that Hope Morgan hanged herself in the shower room of the county gaol, using a noose fashioned from pyjamas. [An East Lansing, Michigan, message stated that Elizabeth Biltncr, aged 25, a daughter of the State College dean, was shot dead at her home while addressing invitations to her wedding with an army captain called Babcock, which was to be held in a few days. Her closest friend, Hope Morgan, aged 25. according to the police, confessed, and blamed impulse. She said: “ I don’t know why 1 did it.” Both were socially prominent. The medical examiner announced that Morgan was suffering from dementia praecox. She had been carrying her father’s pistol for a year under an inward urge to kill someone.]
