FLYING BOAT CRUISE

FROM MALTA TO NIGERIA COLONIAL DEVELOPMENT FLHIHT (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, December 15. Two Royal Air Force Supermarine Scapa flying boats, of the No. 202 F.B. Squadron, left Malta on Saturday on an intercommand and colonial development flight to Balabar, Nigeria. Air-commodore Maltby, air officer commanding the R.A.F. in the Mediterranean, is accompanying Squadroncommander and Wing-commander Turner on the cruise. The first stages of the flight from Malta to Algiers and then to Gibraltar were carried out without incident. Today the flying boats are proceeding to Laluz, in the’ Canary Islands. From there they continue down the West African coast via Port Etrienne, Bathurst, Freetown, Takoradi, and Lagos, to Balabar.
