BURNS CLUB

MONTHLY CONCERT , The monthly concert of the Dunedin Burns Club was held last night. The president (Mr G. Currie)) who was piped on to the stage, extended a cordial welcome to the members, and to Mr Arthur Ellis, the president of the Yorkshire and Lancashire Society, During the evening an enjoyable programme was presented, demands fop encores being insistent, and later a dance was-, held.-■ The programme was as follows:—Songs, Miss D. Barron; duets, Messrs W. Finnie and_ G. M'Kinlay; national dance, Miss Baxter’s reel party (Jessie Baxter, Molly Baxter, Peggy Black, Ellen M‘Lachlan); songs, Miss Nettie Bauld; reci«, tations, Miss Maud Stewart; songs, M* E. Johnston; whistle solo, Mr P. Ramace; humour, Mr G. Paterson; songs, Mr W. M. - Sutherland; humorous songs, MrH. Bell ;■ songs, -Mr Arthur Macdonald; piano solos, Mr A. Pet-, titt. Miss Muriel Caddie assisted with the accompaniments.
