AT THE CONTROLS AGAIN
JEAN BATTEN IN ANdNIANB [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, December 8. “It was great to be at the controls again and delightful over the harbour and city this morning,” said Miss Jean Batten, stepping from her Percival Gull machine at Mangere Aerodrome to-day after her first flight since arrival from Australia.
She leaves by the Awatea to-morrow for Sydney, where she meets her mother, and returns to Auckland for Christinas.
