BRITISH CIVIL SERVICE (British Official Wireless.) Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, October 13. A wages increase for the clerical grades of the Civil Service will result from the award of the Industrial Court announced on the claim of tlie Civil Service Clerical Association for higher maximum wage rates. The new award is estimated to be equivalent to an increase of 25 per cent, for the majoiity of those affected, and ultimately, it is understood, the increase will apply to about 20,000 clerks. The change from tho old maxima to tho new will effected by annual increment*.
