CATHEDRAL CARNIVAL
VAUDEVILLE AND REVUE The Cathedral Carnival arranged by the Catholic community of Dunedin is experiencing a vosuccessful season at His Majesty’s Theatre. There is plenty of variety about this entertainment, for, in addition to the vaudeville and revue, in which many well-known local players take part, there are various stalls and competitions, which assist materially in creating a happy atmosphere. Mr A. Lunglcy, with Mr Ted Heaney playing a piano-accordion, is supported by a chorus of 20 voices in the number ‘ You Will ■ Remember Vienna.’ Miss Margaret Murray renders the number ‘ Here’s to Love and Laughter,’ and Mr Lunglcy and chorus present a spirited number entitled ‘ Carnival. Miss N. Slowley gives an exhibition of tap dancing and an item. ‘ Marionette Show ’ is directed by Messrs R. PMurphy and H. Bain. Air Les Carter (juggling), Mr Charles Abbott (character comedian), Miss Gwenda Burt, and the pupils of the Constance Potts School of Dancing all present .attractive items. Two additional presentations, 1 The Company Will Recite ’ and the ‘ Teacup Sketch,’ add pleasing variety to an entertaining programme. Miss Roma Baker is m charge of the orchestra, which plays the accompaniments and incidental music. _ The programme will he presented each evening.
