VANDALISM AT SUNDAY CONCERT.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l was greatly disappointed to hear that damage had been done in the Empire Theatre on Sunday evening during a concert in aid of the children’s Christmas cheer of South Dunedin unemployed. I, myself, am of the opinion that this wanton destruction was planned beforehand hy the cads who committed it. I read that the management of the Empire Theatre may consider not hiring the theatre for further concerts. Damage was caused on a previom occasion. I think that the Police Department should examine the damaged articles for fingerprints and keep these in case at some later date mischief is done and then probably the same person may be convicted of both offences. The responsible persons have shown no sense of British fair play.—l am, etc., October 13. F. C. G.
