A THEATRICAL TREAT
Not for another 12 months will it be possible to stage another series of four-one-act plays of the same calibre and standard as those to be presented in the Concert Chamber to-morrow night by four combined societies. The idea of presenting this entertainment came from the Mayor (the Rev. E, T. Cox), who approached the societies concerned. so patrons should : have. the double pleasure of witnessing an excellent shove* and at the same time supporting a good object. In all, 24 leading Dunedin artists will be seen and heard, when each society will give of its best. The staging and dressing, it is said, will be something of ft. revelation. Patrons will also be able to gauge the wonderful advance made by amateurs in the last 12 months, and gain an idea of the high standard required to enter for drama festivals. The doors will be opened at 7.15 p.m. to-morrow, and the box plan is now open at the D.I.C.
