RAILWAYMEN APPEAL TO GENERAL MANAGER CONDITIONS IN HUH WORKSHOP [Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 10. As the result of dissatisfaction with the general working conditions at the Hutt Railway Workshops a deputation waited on the General Manager of Railways (Mr 6. H. Mackley) with the request that in co-operation with the unions the Government should take action to stop the pin-pricking methods employed by the management of the Hutt shops. Mr Mackley promised that the representatives _ of the deputation would receive consideration.
