The Minister wrote assuring the executive that he appreciated the sincerity of its purpose in placing its views before him, but on behalf of the Government ho would state that in reintroducing Ministerial _ control it had no intention of neglecting in any way the principles of administration most calculated to ensure that the highest standards of efficiency in procedure and service would obtain. \ “ It null not be necessary for me,” the Minister stated, “to stress the fact that any contemplated expenditure on construction ventures will be carefully weighed. The Government will assume full responsibility for any action arising out of its policy in this connection.” ,
