RETURNS FOR MAY Press Association — By Telegraph—Copyright * LONDON, June 15. (Received June 16, at 11 a.m.) The Board of Trade returns for May show that the imports amounted to £69,178,000, the exports to £36,396,000, and the re-exports to £5,034,000. The principal increases, compared with May last year, were;—lmports—Dairy produce £802,000, fresh fruit and vegetables £630,000, raw cotton and waste £554,000, wool and raw waste £410,000, hides and skins £497,000, machinery £425,000. Exports Miscellaneous manufactures £469,000, woollen worsted £356,000. Re-exports Non-ferrous metals and manufactures £350,000. The principal decreases were:—lmports—Meat £599,000, rubber £643,000. Exports—Coal £298,000, non-ferrous metals and manufactures £212,000. Reexports—Wool and raw waste £199,000.
