PROPHECY.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Tn replying to your correspondent “ Enquirer ’’ may I point out that the only nation which to-day fulfils the various prophecies concerning the House of Israel is the Dritish Empire, the “ Nation and Company oi Nations ” mentioned in Genesis xxxv., 11. In applying the Abrahamic Cove-

nant to Israel-Britain, we find that Israel was to become “ as the sand which is on the seashore,” “ shall possess the gate (or gates) of his enemies,” “ a great nation,” etc. Recourse to a map will surely prove the truth of these prophecies. Jerusalem, we learn, was to be “ downtrodden of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” British forces under (then) General Allenby in 1917 released the Holy Land from the yoke of the Turk; therefore, if Britain is not Israel, Jerusalem is still being “ downtrodden jjf the Gentiles,” the British Empire must collapse, and the House of Judah, a race of some 12 million people, must grow to be a “ Nation and Company of Nations.” Since_ we are now in the latter days, I sugge'st the time is too short for this to he done. The sooifer the British people realise that they are modern Israel, tho “ Stone Kingdom ” of Daniel 2, the sooner will they realise their destiny and lead the world out of the hopeless morass in which it is now entangled.—l am, etc., June 16. Beith-isii.
