About 1,785,000 work people in Britain had a rise in wages during tho first quarter of this year. They are getting, between them, nearly £251 1)00 more money. This is on top of the rises obtained by 2,355,000 people last year. At the same time, hours of work havo been reduced in thousands of cases.
