CHAMPION RIDER KILLED Press Association— By Telegraph— Copyright SYDNEY, June 14. Robert Coomes, aged 25, of Lithgow, better known as Bobby Blake, a champion motor cyclist, was - killed while practising at the Maroubra speedway. Sydney, to-day, when his cycle skidded on the web surface. _ Blake, among other important victories, won the New Zealand gold helmet in 1932 and was a member of the 1933 Australian motor cycle team which visited England. During the first international test race between England, Australia, and America at Sydney Blake fell and fractured his skull and broke both arms, necessitating his retirement from competitive riding.
