LOST COLONIES
PROPAGANDA IN GERMANY VIGOROUS CAMPAIGN PLANNED Pres* AssocialSm—By Telegraph—Copyright • LONDON, June 13. Foreshadowing a vigorous campaign for the return of colonies, the new German Colonial League, which is a department of the Nazi organisation, is absorbing the existing German Colonial Society and launching a membership drive throughout Germany. The plans include exhibitions, lectures, propaganda in all German schools, and “ colonial camps ” in which the objective will be to impress the people that colonies are _ indispensable to _ a great modern nation. The Colonial Society, which worked for the encouragement of colonial-mindedness in Germany since the days of Bismark, was a private body, and its absorption indicates how seriously colonial propaganda is. now taken by .the authorities.
