DISTURBANCE IN DANZIG
. NAZI KILLED AT POLITICAL MEETING COMPLICATIONS FEARED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 14. (Received June 15, at 2.30 p.m.) The ‘ Daily Telegraph’s ’ Danzig correspondent says that anxiety is growing after the death of a Nazi during a fight when Nazis attempted to break up an opposition political meeting, in which over 50 were injured. Herr Foerster, a Nazi leader and the virtual political dictator of Danzig, issued a proclamation blaming the opposition leaders, “ whom I am obliged to tolerate under international statute,” he added, speaking as though Germany's might was behind him. “ I will not permit the Germans of Danzig to be stirred np by these corrupters of our people. Our Fuhrer shall not be insulted. Wo will ruthlessly oppose opposition terrorism, and will not allow ourselves to be attacked. The lives pf our men, who are fighting for the honest aims and high ideals of a great free Germany, are more valuable than treacherous subversive agitators.” The opposition points out that it cannot have established terror, as the Nazis possess all the power and also control the police and their own uniformed organisations.
