COMEDY CLOWNS
WHEELER AHD WOOLSEY FOR GRAND Wheeler and Woolscy will again play in Dunedin shortly, and in ‘ The Rainmakers,’ their latest production, which comes to the Grand on Wednesday, they live up to their reputation. This time tho bean farmers are in trouble, and the merry pair set out to bring the rain that will not como despite the prayers and doubtful language of the luckless farmers. Their weapon of war is an ingenious piece of machinery which fails to live up to expectations. Tho bean farmers are in a worse plight than ever, but our heroes persevere with astonishing results. In between times, however, thev meet with all the amusing adventures imaginable, and Wheeler manages to get himself entangled with tho pretty daughter of a banker. Dorothy Lee is the girl. In many other Wheeler and Woolsev successes she was a willing partner, and after an absence from their last two or three films her reappearance is a welcome one.
