FORESTERS

Tho fortnightly meeting of Court Enterprise was held in the court room, Unity Chambers, C.R. Bro. D. Winder presiding. An invitation was received from Court St. Andrew to its old-time dance, to be hold on June 15, and it was decided to attend officially. A letter of thanks for good wishes was received from Bro. Paul Williams and Ids wife, they having reached their 50 years of married life.’ Letter were received regarding tho Foresters’ ball from Courts Marion, King Edward’s Pride, and St. Andrew. A letter was also received from Bro. Jones regarding the Foresters,’ dance on June 23. Two letters of recommendation were granted to two brothers to enable them to visit the courts in the district in which they will in future reside. Bro. Warren reported on the visit to Court Pride of Dunedin. P.C.R. Bro. Brcttell complimented tho officers on the good turnout to the official visit. Three propositions wore received for next court night. Tho C.R. welcomed tho visitors, Sister Bunting (Court Marion, Invercargill), Sister Stewart (Woodlands Pride), Bro. Swan (Court St. Andrew), Bro, Croft (Court Pride of Leith), and C.R. Bro. Pearson (Court Prido of Dunedin) returning thanks. After tho close of the mooting the visitors admitted totalled about 100. P.C.R. Bro. Neil M'Donald presided, tho occasion being bis Scots evening. Tho opening item was a pipe selection by Pipers M’Voan, M'Lcod, M'Kcnzjc, and Fraser. Songs wore given by Miss Angela Hendry, Miss Louvain M'Donald, Miss Nan M‘Kee, Mr E. Paris, IVIr G. Wiseman; recitation by Miss Nan M‘Koe; a Highland fling hy_ Misses Nancy and Nonna Stewart. Miss Dora Drake was tho accompanist. P.C.R. Bro. Alan M'Naughton moved a vote of thanks to tho performers, also to Bro. M‘Dona!d for arranging the concert. Supper was then served by the court officers, after which a dance was hold, the music being supplied by Bro. Logan Johnson, of Stewart’s Imperial Orchestra, and the Irish Quadrilles and Highland schottischc by Piper M‘Konzie. P.C.R. Bro. Brcttell was the M.C.
