CLOUDY TO OVERCAST The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the south-, ern districts—Dunedin, Port Chalmers* Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, River-* ton, Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay:— A rather intense anti-cyclone is still centred east of the North Island and covers the Dominion. _ Another one covers most of Australia, but a shallow; depression lies between. ' Forecast:] Light to moderate north-east to northerly winds, later backing temporarily, to southerlies; weather cloudy to overcast and scattered rains developing,more especially in western and southern parts; seas slight to moderate.
