GOOD TEMPLARY

Rescue Lodge, No. 105, held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows Hall, Kensington, Chief Templar Bro. W. A. lies presiding over a good attendance. Visitors were present from the Hope of Caversham Lodge, Bro. B. Seque (C.T.) conveying fraternal greetings. The lodge deputy, Bro. T. Dalton, installed the following officersV.T., Sister Mrs M'Donald; guard, Sister D. Miller; sentinel, Sister R. Smith. Sister D. Miller reported on the Star of the South Temple. The programme of the evening was a “ shuffle board ” competition, Bros. M'Curdy and Mercer being in charge. The chief templar urged members to take the various degrees. Star of the South Juvenile Temple, No. 15, held it? weekly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Chief Templar Sister M. Middlemiss presiding over a good attendance of members. Bro. T. Brooks, superintendent, was in charge. The officers and members of the Star of Victory Temple, Roslyn, were officially welcomed, Sister Flett, superintendent, responding. • The following gave items: -Sister D. M'Millan (recitation); Sister A. Steele (piano solo); Sister J. Steele (piano solo); Sister P. Adcock (solo); Bro. Steele (recitation) ; Bro. J. Flett (dance) ; Sister C. Herbert (piano solo); Sister M. Middlemiss (solo, with actions) ; Sister E. Gibbs (solo); Sister D. Miller (recitation). Bro. V. Rowe (assistant superintendent) received his commission for that office.
