COURSING AT OAMARU
HEW ZEALAND DERBY POOR ATTENDANCE Tlie_ Derby meeting conducted by the North Otago Coursing Club was commenced at the Oamaru Plumpton on Saturday iu ideal weather conditions. The attendance, however, was very poor, and well below that of the first day of the Easter meeting. The coursing was good, the first and second rounds of the Derby and All-aged Stakes being decided. Mr E. G. Price (Dunedin) gave every satisfaction in the judge’s box, and the slipping carried Out by Messrs F. Mitchell and G. Barr was all that could be desired. The concluding rounds were decided to-day. Results:— ALL-AGED STAKES. —First Bound.— Mr J. Benson’s Boyal Fleet (Oamaru) beat Mr J. Gold’s Why Parade (Balclutha).
