James Taylor, a 30-year-old farm band, came to Sydney for his wedding on Friday, and late at night went out to buy cigarettes. Two men accosted him and asked him for a cigarette. They felled him with a fierce blow which nearly fractured his jaw, and they then robbed him of £42. Taylor was later discovered in hospital at Petersham but so intent _ was he on keeping faith with his bride that he Jeft the hospital yesterday against his doctor’s orders and went through with the ceremony at the scheduled hour at the local Baptist church.
