NEW TREASURY ISSUE HUGE FINANCING PROGRAMME - Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, May 31. sThe Treasury to-day announced a Inigo financing programme, partly to meet cash needs, particularly the payment of the veterans’ bonus, and partly to refinance maturing obligations. The sum of 2,050,000,000 dollars in securities will bo offered to the public at unprecedently low rates of interest. With the subscription of the offering the public debt will reach the new high level of 32,750,000,000 dollars. For the 1,000,000,000 dollars cash required, 000,000,000 dollars of 15 to 18 years’ bonds at 2J per cent, will be offered, and <100,000,000 dollars five-year Treasury notes bearing 1 3-8 per cent. For the* 10,050,000,00 dollars of securities maturing on June 15 and July 1. new issues at approximately the same rates of interest will be offered.
