PROCLAMATION TO BE BROADCAST (British Official Wireless.) Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, May 27. The proclamation of King Edward VIII.’s coronation will be broadcast from the Empire station at Daventry on Friday, May 29, from 8.50 a.m. (approximately) to 9.30 a.m. (approximately), G.M.T. Subsequent electrical recordings will be broadcast at 2 p.m., 5.15 p.m., and 9.20 p.m., G.M.T., on May 29, and at 1 am. and 5.15 a.m. on May 30. OFFICIAL DATE. LONDON, May 28. (Received May 29, at 11 a.m.) The official date of the coronation is May 12, KING APPROVES DATE (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 23. (Received May 29, at noon.) The King formally approved the date of the coronation when he signed an Order in Council at a meeting of the Privy Council held at Buckingham Palace this morning.
