FAIR TO FINE - The following weather forecast wa* issued at noon by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, covering the South* cm districts—Dunedin, Port Tapauui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton, Orepuki, Bluff, Halfmoon Bay:—* Pressure has now risen in the northl and east, and an anti-cyclone still covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand, Forecast: Light variable ■winds, but westerlies ruling in the southern area. Weather fair to fine, with cold night but mild day temperatures. • Seaa slight to moderate. MILD CONDITIONS CONTINUE. Mild conditions have prevailed fop the last two days. There was no frosd last night, and rain has not fallen in.’ the city since last Thursday. This morning, the sun. broke through the clouds for. an hour or two, but early| this afternoon clouds began to form. Until noon the maximum temperatures was 47.2 deg, the minimum being 42deg tf Yesterday’s temperatures were* Maximum, 51deg; minimum, 39.9 deg, The barometer was registering showing little variation from the' readings of the two previous days.
