SHAW IN FORM A COURSE RECORD [Pan United Pbess Association.] WELLINGTON, May 25. A. J. Shaw, the ex-open and professional golf champion of the Dominion, was in brilliant form on the Waiwetu links. He covered the course in 60 this morning, and then established a new record for the course by doing 68 in the afternoon, going out in 32 and returning in 36. The standard scratch score is 70.

(Received May 25, at 1 p.m.) In the French championships, women’s doubles final, Miss Yorke and Madame Mathieu defeated Misses Noel and Jedrze Jowska 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. In the men’s doubles semi-finals Hughes and Tuckey defeated Perry and Austin 6-0, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4; Borotra and Bernard defeated Brugnon and Boussus 7-5, 6-4, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3.
