NEGLIGENT DRIVING CHARGES
SHIP'S FIREMAN CONVICTED

■WELLINGTON, Mav 11. After a trial lasting three and a-half days, William M‘Reynolds, a ships’ fireman, aged 28, was found guilty in the Supreme Court to-day on a charge of negligently driving a motor car, thereby causing the death of Charles Bradshaw and Ernest Marston. M‘Reynolds was remanded for sentence. A REMAND: WANGANUI, May 11. Arising out of a fatal accident to a cyclist, Joseph Arthur Massey, of Putiki Flats, on Saturday afternoon, Barney Ruakopa, a resident of the Ratana Pa, was charged at the court this morning before Mr J. S. Salmon, S.M., with recklessly driving a car, thereby causing the death of Massey, lie was remanded until Friday, and bail was fixed at self £2OO, and two sureties of £IOO each.
