Another of the popular Zaue Grey novels which has been filmed will open a season at the Laurier, Port Chalmers, this evening. ‘ West of the Pecos.’ featuring Richard ])ix, is another exciting story of the winning of the West. The story opens at Ihe close of the Civil War. when Colonel Lambeth, with his daughter, Terrill, begins life anew in Ihe West. Richard I)ix joins up with the Lambeth outfit and shares their perils of the hard trek to the Pecos country. An outstanding feature of the production is the beautifully photographed scenic background.
