There wore lively scenes at Kingsbridge Station to-mgbt, when themail train from Cork brought 27 prominent Republicans rounded up in Cork and Waterford. A largo force of armed police met the prisoners, who, after cheering, threw themselves on the platform and kicked and struggled. Four nearly escaped. The police prepared a machine gun for action, hut the prisoners were eventually overcome and driven in lorries to Orbourhill military prison. There have been altogether over 30 arrests in County Cork, but no charges have been preferred. One of those arrested barricaded himself in his home against the police for six hours.
