MODEL ENGINEERING SOCIETY
PRELIMINARY MEETING A well-attended meeting of those interested in the formation of a model engineering society ivas held at Air L. Boyce’s residence on Thursday evening. Air L. Boyce was unanimously elected chairman. Tho other appointments made were: Secretary-treasurer, Air 14. Riddle ; committee—Messrs A. T. Scott, W. White, J. D. Turner. The committee will draw up the draft constitution to be considered at a further general meeting. The interest created by the proposal to form a society of those interested in model engineering and allied hobbies proves the need for such an organisation. As soon as possible after the preliminary work has been done a general meeting of all interested will be called. Three donors generously promised a competition cup and two prizes. These were gratefully accepted: A vote of thanks was accorded to Air and Airs L. Boyce for their work, which had made it possible to launch the society so successfully.
