"GIRL IN RED'S" SINGING By telling of her travels and singnig her songs, Miss Nita llosslyn. “ The Girl in Red,” has made her way through many countries. Since she set out from England on her cycle she has travelled 40,000 miles, and she has now reached Dunedin. Following its policy of engaging artists of repute when available for the entertainment of its patrons, the Savoy has engaged Miss Rosslyn for a short season. Apart from, her personality and the unusual glamour that surrounds her cycling feats, Miss Rosslyn is a most attractive personality and the possessor of a beautiful singing voice. Winning a gold medal in a Manchester competition led to her determination to become a singer. For three years she studied under Signor Gallignani in Italy, and then made a concert tour of South and Central America, appearing at all the principal theatres and halls. She lias something novel to offer in entertainment value. Her soprano voice has natural beauty of tone and shows skilful training. Exceptional finality and range encompass an extensive repertoire of classical, character, and folk songs •■f many lands. She has had many cordial receptions in New Zealand, the audiences appreciating not only her natural voice, but her vivid and clever accompaniments on the banjolele, an instrument seldom heard here. Miss Rosslyn will appear at the Savoy both afternoon and evening in her striking costume of red, and before a setting of rich floral beauty.
