MINISTERIAL SPORTSMEN

DUCK SHOOTING TRIO [Per United Press Association.] WAIROA, May 1. A Ministerial party, consisting of the Hons. W. E. Parry, P. C. Webb, and I{. Semple arrived at Wairoa last night and left for the Korito Lagoon for the opening of the duck shooting season. It was reported to-night that the Ministers enjoyed good sport. Sir Webb secured a full bag in the morning, Mr Semple 12 swans and a brace of ducks, and Mr Parry a brace of ducks.

The members of the party were the guests of Messrs J. S. Jessep and A. T. Carroll. They were entertained at luncheon by the Maoris, and both Mr Parry and Mr Semple said that the ambitions of the present Government was to place the Natives on as good a, footing as the pakehas. The party will remain over the week-end for the shooting.
