NEW SOUTH WALES RAILWAYS Pre*» Association—By’ Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, May 1. (Received May 2, at 1.30 a.m.) A record speed of 85 miles an hour on the New South Wales railways was attained by the Newcastle “ flier ” during a recent run from Sydney to Newcastle. The 104 miles were covered in two hours ten minutes at an average speed of 48 m.p.h.
