CHAIN PHARMACY

EVIDENCE BEFORE INDUSTRIES AND COMMERCE COMMITTEE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 30. The Industries and Commerce Committee of the House of Representatives sat to-day to hear evidence from the chemists who had petitioned against chain pharmacy. Messrs Boots Ltd. contended that their operations would be a distinct advantage to New Zealand. Owing to the absence of an important witness, the hearing of the evidence was postponed till next Thursday. The Chairman (Mr W. J. Jordan) said that, owing to the nature of the inquiry, the fullest reasonable publicity would be given to the-evidence.
