FEWER MARRIAGES FOR MONTH DEATH TOTAL RELATIVELY HIGHER Marriages at Easter, which is usually the most papular fixed period in the year for their celebration, do not appear to have had their , customary attraction, the figures for April showing a decrease of 12 compared with the corresponding period last year. Inclusive of those performed by . the registrar. the resuective marriage totals were 88 and 100. Birth certificates issued showed :» marked decrease on the figures for March, when new babies _ totalled 114. However, in comparison with last April, this month’s quota is satisfactory, 95 babies being born, representing an increase of one over Aprih 1935.
