Society was in a flutter of excitement to-day over the announcement of the engagement of Mrs Frederick Snow, aged 67, a wealthy society woman, and “ Baron ” Wilhelm Frary von Blomberg, aged 28, a young man who was born plain William Frary. He was adopted three years ago by Countess Adelhard von Blomberg, cousin of the Nazi Minister of War, and she conferred the title on him.

Mrs Snow’s two sons, one of whom is a prominent lawyer, said that steps woula be taken to prevent the issue of a marriage license.
