FORESTERS
There was a good attendance of member's at the fortnightly meeting of Court Prido of the Leith, which was presided over by the C.R., Bro. T. Safer. Invitations were accepted from Courts St. Andrew’s, King Edward’s Pride, and Star of Heriot, and in response to the invitation from Court Little John to attend its meeting when the District Executive would make a presentation to P.D.C.R. Bro. H. L. Thomson, the following members were elected to represent the court: —Bros. C. C. Robertson, E. S. Vercoe, W. J. Duncan, and N. L. Croft. The following were selected as delegates to the combined Ball Committee :—Bros. Ellis, Slack, Howie, Craig, Vercoe, Jones, and Croft. The C.R. welcomed P.C.R. Bro. A. H. Jones, who, in returning thanks, stated that he was pleased to witness the very fine manner in which the work of the court was carried out, especially the ceremony of initiation. All the delegates to the recent annual meeting of the United Otago District gave, reports, which were well received, and they were tendered thanks for their services. The District Secretary also traversed the business of that meeting. Prior to closing the court two new members were admitted. Court King Edward’s Pride held its fortnightly meeting, when they was a good attendance, with C.R. Bro. Bartlett in the chair, it was reported that the cricket match between the court and Court Pride of the Leith had been won by tho _ former court, which would hold the shield for a year. Tho delegates to tho district meeting gave their reports, and special mention was made of the stirring appeal given at that meeting by P.D.C.R. Bro. C. C. Robertson in regard to membership. Three new members were admitted.
