MEMORIAL TO KING
SUGGESTIONS EXAMINED BY COMMITTEE (British Official Wireless.) Preu Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, April 4. No fewer than 180 suggestions for schemes for a memorial to King George V. were before the first meeting of the executive committee under the chairmanship of the Archbishop of Canterbury. As the result of examination the proposed 'schemes for a statue in the centre of a large site were reduced to three, and the suggestions for a philanthropic scheme to four. These seven proposals will be sent for consideration to two special sub-commit-tees, which have been formed to examine them in detail.
