On September 17 the band of the First Battalion, Otago Regiment, under the oonductorship of Lieutenant L. O. Asten, delighted tho meeting with several selections.
On September 3 arrangements were made to entertain our blind guests, who were motored to and from their homes by several members. The orphanage outing was held on October 5 in tho Kensington Drill Hall, which was again kindly loaned by the military authorities. The members gave the children of the various city orphanages a wonderful time, which was greatly appreciated by our little guests. Our thanks are due to Aliss Dobbie for assistance with the purchase and distribution of prizes, also to several ladies for helping to entertain the children. The music on this occasion was supplied by the Waverley Boys’ Band, to whom our thanks are due; our appreciation has also been expressed to the various gentlemen and firms for their gifts. During the season a concert party, consisting of members, paid visits to Alonteoillo and Pleasant Valley and entertained the patients.
